ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to hold by-election in PS-127 (Malir-Karachi) on July 13 and issued schedule.
According to the ECP spokesman, the nomination papers will be filed on June 10, whereas the verification process will be completed on June 14. The candidates can file their appeals to the tribunals against the decisions of the returning officers till June 16 and tribunals would decide on their appeals till June 20, he said.
The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers until June 22 and on the next day the final list of candidates will be published, he added. Polling will be held on July 13, he maintained. The seat was vacated due to resignation tendered by Ashfaque Ahmed Mangi.
