Pakistan People’s Party information secretary Sagheer Butt while addressing a press conference said that citizens of Gujranwala are facing very critical situation in these days as OPD of DHQ hospital and session courts have been locked by the doctors and lawyers community for the last many days while on the other hand district and divisional administration have played no role to settle the matters with doctors and lawyers community and it seemed that government has lost its writ in Gujranwala. Sagheer Butt said that lawyers community is protesting for establishment of LHC bench at Gujranwala while doctors are on the strike after having a battle against the journalists some days before. Sagheer Butt said that over 5 million population of Gujranwala is facing great troubles due to the strike of doctors and lawyers. Due to the doctors strike the Poor people have to go private hospitals for treatment by spending heavy fees, on the other hand thousands of cases have been got pending as the lawyers community have locked the session courts for the last eight days. Sagheer but criticized the negligent role by the district administration as no serious talk has been done by the responsible officers with lawyers and doctors community. Sagheer Butt demanded that government should talk with the lawyers and doctors to resolve the issues so that peoples of Gujranwala could be able to avail the basic facilities of health and justice. Other office bearers of PPP including Zulfiqar Bhutto, Rana Shahnawaz Advocate, Taimor Dar, Bao Kashif, Bilal Raja and others were also present on the occasion.
