LAHORE: Police claimed to have arrested 120 proclaimed offenders and 527 court absconders during the last month.
Police said that 380 cases were registered against 389 accused for having illegal weapon and police recovered seven Kalashnikovs, 16 rifles, 29 guns, 340 revolvers and pistols with 2,456 live rounds.
784 cases were registered against drug dealers and 816 accused were arrested with 18kg heroine, 377kg hashish, 43kg opium and 7,952 bottles of liquor.
About 130 cases were registered against gamblers and 536 accused were arrested besides recovering Rs 0.5 million. Police also arrested 188 members of 76 gangs and recovered items of Rs 9.8 million.
